Personal Experience with doTERRA Immortelle by Julie, Utah

My daughter runs hurdles for her HS track team. She was at a practice over spring break and her coach was pushing her to 3 step the hurdles. She hit hurdle number 5 with her trailing foot which sent her flying. She was going so fast that she did not have time to catch herself and her face hit the ground first, pretty much on her right eye. She got up with some help from the coaches and came home with marked swelling and a significant abrasion.

Introduction to AromaTouch Technique

Whether you are a novice or expert in the uses and application of essential oil, doTERRA has introduced a technique that will magnify the benefits and experience of using CPTG essential oils.

The technique is simple to learn and doTERRA recommends using 8 CPTG essential oils to reduce and eliminate the impact of systemic constants on your overall health. Applying them with the AromaTouch Technique has been shown to help enhance systemic benefits and increase feelings of overall health and well-being.  After we first used the Aroma Touch Technique, both me and especially my husband who has two bulged discs were able to move a lot easier. The pain we had felt in our backs as well as other parts of our bodies were gone. We could  feel the toxins being released from our spine.  

Systemic Constants

Environmental factors have a negative impact on overall health and well-being, disturbing homeostasis - the balance our bodies need to function optimally. Such challenges, even when they do not immediately result in disease, cause our bodies to function below optimal levels. These include:


STRESS
Emotional distress, career choices, family discord, financial worries and the like elevate stress levels. Clinical studies have linked high stress and chronic stress to numerous negative health conditions.

TOXIC INSULT

Exposure to a wide array of toxic insults, including disease-causing pathogens, hormone and pesticide contaminated food products, and increasing levels of free-radicals from pollution, foods, and sunlight contribute to rises in the occurrence of varying illnesses.

The AromaTouch Technique includes 4 steps (2 oils each).

1. STRESS REDUCTION

Balance Essential Oil blend

1. Apply from the sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly along the spine.
2. Use clockwise palm circles over the heart area with both hands.
3. Place and hod one palm on the sacral base and the other on the base if the skull. Hold as long as necessary.

Lavender Essential Oil

1. Apply from the sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly.
2. Alternating palm side from the spine to sides working from sacrum to the base of the skull. Repeat three times on one side, then repeat 3 times on the other side.
3. Tissue pull from sacrum to the top of the head.

• With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward the head on either side of the spine.
• Next, separate hands and pull up again to the top of the head (zone 2)
• Continue through zones 3, 4 and 5.
• Massage ears at the end of zone 5 (optional)

2. IMMUNE ENHANCEMENT

Melaleuca Essential Oil

1. Apply from sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly.
2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
3. Tissue pull from sacrum to to of head.

• With hands together over the spine, start at sacrum ad pull toward the head (zone1)
• Next separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
• Ccontinue through zones 3,4 and 5

On Guard Essential Oil Blend

1. Apply from sacrum to base of the skull and distribute evenly.
2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head
   *With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)
   *Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
   *Continue through zones 3, 4 and 5.
4. Thumb walk tissue pull.
   *Walk up each side of the spine with thumbs firm sacrum to base of skull 3 times.

3. INFLAMMATION AND PAIN REDUCTION

Aromatouch Essential Oil Blend

1. Apply from scrum to base of skull and distribute evenly.
2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head.
   
   • With hands together over the spine, start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)
   • Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone2)
   • Continue through sones 3,4 and 5

Deep Blue Essential Oil Blend

1. Apply from sacrum to base of skull and distribute evenly.
2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head.
   * With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)
   *Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
   *Continue through zones 3,4, and 5.
4. Thumb walk tissue pull.
   *Walk up each side of the spine with thumbs from sacrum to base of skull 3 times.

4. HOMEOSTASIS

Peppermint Essential Oil

1. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to bottom of the right foot.
   *Work massage region 1,2 and 3.
   *Work through zones 1 through zone 5 on same foot.
2. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to bottom of the left foot.
   *Work massage region 1,2 and 3.
   *Work through zones 1 through zone 5 on same foot.

Wild Orange Essential Oil

1. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to the back.
   *Work through all 5 zones, once.

Cold and Flu Remedies

Considering all of the major recalls that have been conducted this past year on our children's over the counter medicines, I feel it is time to introduce you to a safer alternative.  For the past two years, I have been using doTERRA essential oils on my family when illness has hit our home instead of cough syrups, fever reducers, & pain relievers.  Guess what?  My natural remedies really work!  I no longer have to worry about the harmful side effects that can come from using synthetic products.  I would like to share with you my favorite home remedies for colds and flu.

The first step to take with ANY illness is to give your family OnGuard immediately.  This can be done by simply dropping 3 drops of OnGuard under the tongue (it is a hot oil, you may need to add coconut oil for small children) or have them take 4 drops of OnGuard & Lemon in a empty gel capsule.

Cold and Flu Remedies

Coughs- I apply 3 drops of Breathe or Myrrh to the chest and feet.  I diffuse the room with breathe at night.  The OnGuard Throat Drops are great to use during the day while at school or work.

* A diffuser is a like a humidifier, but made for essential oils.  Essential oils can eat through the plastic of humidifiers.  A diffuser will fill your home with a wonderful aroma of your choice while killing airborne pathogens.  Your candle can't do that!  :)

Runny Nose- I rub a small amount of Lavender under each nostrils and also on the bottom of the feet.  Lavender is a natural antihistamine.  If your child is old enough to swallow a capsule, give them 3 drops of Lavender, Lemon, & Peppermint in a capsule daily.

Sore Throat- I drop 3 drops of Lemon on the tongue and swish it around or place 2 drops of lemon & 2 drops of Melaleuca in a small amount of warm water and gargle it. 

Fever- remember that fevers are the body's way of fighting off the cold/flu naturally.  We tend to treat a fever as the enemy when it is actually a friend, unless it spikes too high.  Peppermint rubbed on the feet every two hours will naturally bring down a fever.  I also rub it behind the neck.  Use coconut oil on small children with sensitive skin.

Aches- When a family member complains of aches, I will do the spinal technique on them.  Most bacteria and viruses tend to camp out in your spine, by doing this technique, you will be drawing attention to the problem and taking care of it.  This is great to do with any illness and everybody loves a back rub!

• apply coconut oil down the spine
• follow with 4 drops of Oregano
• add 4 drops of AromaTouch
• end with 4 drops of Peppermint
• hot compress with a rice or bean pad for 10 minutes

Stomach Issues- Digestzen will be your best friend!  Apply 2-3 drops on your abdomen or take 4 drops in an empty gel capsule 3 times daily.

Earaches- Rub 2-3 drops of Basil, Lavender, or Melaleuca around the ear.  Place drops on a cotton ball and place in ear.  Never drop oils directly in the ear canal.  All studies prove that antibiotics are not effective for most ear infections.

Sinus Infection- Take 4 drops of Oregano, OnGuard, & Lemon in a capsule 3 times daily.  Rub Breathe over sinus area topically.(be careful not to get it too close to your eyes, it will burn)

The key to success is to start on the oils as soon as you  feel the first sign of a cold or flu coming on.  My family uses the oils daily which has greatly reduced that amount of illness in our home.  If my kids have friends that are sick, I have them drop the OnGuard under their tongue as a preventative.  It has worked wonderfully so far this year!

Antibiotics VS Essential Oils

Basic Facts

The majority of us are overusing antibiotics and are contributing to the rise of 'Superbugs" (antibiotic resistant bacteria).  Most of us are uneducated about the harmful effects of antibiotics.

Antibiotics kill not only the bad bacteria, but also the good bacteria (stomach flora) in your gut.  That "good bacteria" is crucial for your immune system to function properly. 

Cells in our bodies are surrounded by an oily membrane.

Bacteria are found on the outside of these cell walls and Viruses are on the inside of the cells.

Regular antibiotics CANNOT penetrate the cell wall and so they only work on bacterial infections NOT on viruses.

Most of us are equally uneducated about the amazing benefits of essential oils.  Essential oils are highly antimicrobial.
Essential Oils CAN penetrate the cell wall and are therefore effective against bacteria AND viruses.

“The growing problem of bacteria strains that are resistant to all but a handful of antibiotics, combined with a decline in development of new drugs to thwart the bugs, is creating the conditions for a perfect storm that could leave us vulnerable and unprotected from deadly germs.”

New antibiotics could help counter the development of resistance and keep us one step ahead of the bugs, but pharmaceutical companies have cut research in this area, leaving doctors without new weapons to fight off the germs.

“Larger pharmaceutical companies have been using less and less resources to develop new antibiotics because economically it doesn’t make as much sense to develop these as it does to develop other more profitable drugs, such as cholesterol-lowering medications,” Peters says.

Antibiotics are generally used for a week or two, but drugs for high cholesterol and other chronic conditions may be used for a lifetime, which ultimately means a larger revenue stream for drug companies.

According to IDSA, the number of new antibiotics hitting the market has dropped dramatically since the 1980s to less than four in the last five years, while the rates of people infected with antibiotic-resistant bugs has increased significantly.

SEEKING BUSINESS PARTNERS!!!

When we first started using doTERRA essential oils 2 years ago, we never thought of turning this into a business opportunity. My husband suffered for years during the winter with bronchitis and would be on 2-3 rounds of the strongest antibiotics on the market. Pretty soon the antibiotics weren't as potent as they used to be and we were concerned about how it was effecting his body. Around the same time our then 9 month old son had had 8 ear infections and currently had one at the time. After being on 4 different antibiotics our doctor kind of shrugged and told us he wasn't quite sure what to do.
