Infertility and Pregnancy

Being pregnat can be one of the most wonderful things in the world. My husband and I have been blessed with three wonderful children and are grateful for them everyday. We talked about maybe having one or two more but I started to have a lot of pain in my lower stomach. I just ingored it thinking it was probably just stress and went on about life. As time went on, the pain got stronger and more frequent. My husband finally said, you're going to the doctors today.  I agreed and some test were run, ultrasounds taken and by the end I was going in for surgery due to the multiple type of cysts that I had on my ovaries.  We were told that we probably werent going to be able to have more children and if we were that we would probably need to resort to in vitro.
We were devestated at this news and so once again I turned to doTERRA oils not wanting to except the diagnois that had been given to me.  Immediatly I started to rub Clary Sage and Frankincense over my ovaries twice a day.  4 months later we found out I was pregnant with our fourth child!
How amazing was that, we couldn't believe it and neither could the doctors. I was over joyed from the outcome and most the credit to the oils!!
I of course have terrible morning sickness so as soon as week 6 came around I was hugging the toilet the whole day.  The thing is as well that when I'm pregnant with boys, the sickness tends to last the entire pregnancy, so here at week 19, I still struggle with the same issues.  I did find a trick to help so that I could keep some food down.  Now it didnt completely cure it but it sure made it so I could tend to my three other little ones.  I rub Peppermint oil on the bottoms of my feet in the morning to help with nausea and help me to wake up a little and as my stomach would turn through the day I'd rub peppermint or DigestZen on my stomach and would feel a ton better. Now remember Peppermint SHOULD NOT be used in the 3rd trimester if youre planning to nurse because it can dry up your milk supply.  Diffusing different smells as well like Wild Orange or Balance seemed to help my mood as well.  But be sure to diffuse the things that make you feel good. 
My dear husband also spoils me with massages on my back as well as my feet and I am ever so grateful for them.  I think he was more grateful during my discovery Deep Blue durning my last pregnancy.  With all the aches and pains that come from stress on your back and hips, I was wanting a massage everyday.  During the first two pregnancy's he gave them to me.  But with the the third and this pregnancy he's only had to give them every two weeks or so if he uses the Deep Blue and then a warm compress after. It's truly been amazing. I feel so much better after wards, my body is able to handle the demands so much better, and the smell from Deep Blue helps me to relax which we all know is good for the baby.  None of these oils have proven harmful any of the babies or myself and has actually opened my doctors eyes to the side of essential oils!

Gardening With Oils And Dealing With Summer Bugs And Burns!!

I love spring when I can plant fragrant flowers and some fruit and vegetable plants with my children. They enjoy watching the plants bloom and grow and get so excited when the fruit and vegetable plants begin producing, they really feel all the hard work they put into tending the garden was for something. It's also been a great time for us to bond as a family and work together. 
I was so excited when I learned that Essential Oils can be used in the garden to keep away those little bugs! I really like to keep my garden organic so this was perfect!


Gardening Mixtures:

16 oz spray bottle of water, 30 drops TERRASHIELD

16 oz spray bottle water, 1 tsp. natural soap, 25 drops oil, shake well.

TERRASHIELD has been my favorite and is simple to use, but if you don't have it on hand here are a few other suggestions.

THYME and LAVENDER are great for protecting all vegetables in the garden.
PEPPERMINT : Ants, aphids, bean beetle, cabbage root fly, caterpillars, black flee beetle, flies, lice, gnats, moths.
LEMONGRASS: Black flea beetle, fleas, mosquito's, and ticks.
THYME: Bean beetle, cabbage root fly, cutworm, ticks.
CLARY SAGE: Cabbage root fly,cutworm, nematodes, ticks, white fly.
ROSEMARY: Cabbage root fly and carrot fly
WHITE FIR: Slugs, snails, wooly aphids
SANDALWOOD: Weevils, wooly aphids

Another suggestion that I've heard but haven't tried is to place oil on cotton balls and place them around the garden.
Remember to spray around the plants and only under the leaves if there are any pest found on them. Use as little as possible. Two applications a day for a few days, might be necessary.

                                                 IN THE SUN SKIN CARE:

Of course being in the garden, going to the beach and the children playing outside a lot more, I began to grow concerned about the typical summer burns and what I could do to prevent that from happening and soon enough I got my answer.  I have tried this with my kids over the last few weeks and it's worked great. On my 18th month old her skin turned a little pink, I applied the same mixture on her skin when we got home and by that night the pink was gone. Now that she has a little tan built up there has been no pink skin and it is comforting to know that I'm not applying anything toxic on my kids.
Here is the recipe I used:

Sunblock- Lavender or Helichrysum with Coconut Oil 1 drop to 1-2 tablespoons. Allow to soak into the skin 10-15 mins. before you go into the sun.

                                           INSECT REPELLENT AND BUG BITES:

Bugs are so attracted to my poor little 4 years old. Every since he was a baby we'd take the kids up to the mountains and with our fail, he is the one who would come home with all the bites. That is why I am such a fan of TERRASHIELD! I've put it in a 4oz bottle with some water and sprayed it on his body every time we head out for a hike and it has worked wonders! We've also learned to spray it around the window seals of our home and even around the tent doors and windows when we're camping, it's been amazing! It's obviously all natural and none of us are receiving any toxins in our body from using bug spray. The most amazing thing is TERRASHIELD IS 10x's STRONGER THAN DEET!! SO KEEP THOSE MOSQUITO'S AWAY!!

PURIFY: To help stop the itching, swelling, stinging, and to clean the bite if person has scratched the open and it needs to be cleaned.
LAVENDER: To stop the itch and reduce the size of the bite.
OREGANO or BASIL: To pull the poison out.

A few other oils to try are Peppermint, On Guard, Clove and Melaleuca.

Remember that each person and each body is different so if you didn't like the result you got with the lavender then try the purify and it will be well worth your time!

Ways To Use Frankincense

Frankincense is an Essential Oil that pretty much everyone has heard about but most people don't know or understand the amazing benefits that come from using this product. Personal Experience with doTERRA Immortelle by Julie, Utah

My daughter runs hurdles for her HS track team. She was at a practice over spring break and her coach was pushing her to 3 step the hurdles. She hit hurdle number 5 with her trailing foot which sent her flying. She was going so fast that she did not have time to catch herself and her face hit the ground first, pretty much on her right eye. She got up with some help from the coaches and came home with marked swelling and a significant abrasion.

I had just received the Immortelle blend the previous week and knew there was valuable oils contained in it. Frankincense, sandalwood, lavender, myrrh, helichrysum and rose.
Armed with this arsenal of oils, perfect for wound care and skin rejuvenation, I went to work and immediately applied the Immortelle blend to her face (along with ice.) She was not happy because the eye and wound were so sensitive.
I gave her the “tough love” lecture and was consistently making sure the blend was applied a minimum of twice a day carefully above and below the eye and on the abrasion.
From the first day of her track accident till it was fully healed was 11 days! The first photo is from the day it happened. The second 3 days from the accident.The third image is after day 7 and the 4^th image is day 11.
Her scab was starting to fall off after the 5^th day with brand new healthy skin underneath and the black eye and swelling was dramatically diminished.
