Introduction to AromaTouch Technique

Whether you are a novice or expert in the uses and application of essential oil, doTERRA has introduced a technique that will magnify the benefits and experience of using CPTG essential oils.

The technique is simple to learn and doTERRA recommends using 8 CPTG essential oils to reduce and eliminate the impact of systemic constants on your overall health. Applying them with the AromaTouch Technique has been shown to help enhance systemic benefits and increase feelings of overall health and well-being.  After we first used the Aroma Touch Technique, both me and especially my husband who has two bulged discs were able to move a lot easier. The pain we had felt in our backs as well as other parts of our bodies were gone. We could  feel the toxins being released from our spine.  


Systemic Constants

Environmental factors have a negative impact on overall health and well-being, disturbing homeostasis - the balance our bodies need to function optimally. Such challenges, even when they do not immediately result in disease, cause our bodies to function below optimal levels. These include:


STRESS
Emotional distress, career choices, family discord, financial worries and the like elevate stress levels. Clinical studies have linked high stress and chronic stress to numerous negative health conditions.






TOXIC INSULT

Exposure to a wide array of toxic insults, including disease-causing pathogens, hormone and pesticide contaminated food products, and increasing levels of free-radicals from pollution, foods, and sunlight contribute to rises in the occurrence of varying illnesses.



INFLAMMATIONThe increased consumption of food with pro-inflammatory components (foods high in polyunsaturated vegetable oils such as safflower, sunflower, corn and peanut oil) together with high carbohydrate, low protein diets contribute to increased inflammation in body systems. Stress, with its accompanying imbalance of cortisol, can also contribute to inflammation, as do various (and increasingly prevalent) immunological dysfunctions. Studies increasingly show links between fatal diseases and inflammation.




AUTONOMIC IMBALANCE


The opposite of homeostasis, an imbalance of the autonomic nervous system (aka: the ANS or visceral vervous system) can negatively impact health in a number of ways. Restoring the body's homeostasis can reduce the physiological impact of stressors on the body.

The AromaTouch Technique includes 4 steps (2 oils each).

1. STRESS REDUCTION

Balance Essential Oil blend




  1. Apply from the sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly along the spine.
  2. Use clockwise palm circles over the heart area with both hands.
  3. Place and hod one palm on the sacral base and the other on the base if the skull. Hold as long as necessary.





Lavender Essential Oil


  1. Apply from the sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly.
  2. Alternating palm side from the spine to sides working from sacrum to the base of the skull. Repeat three times on one side, then repeat 3 times on the other side.
  3. Tissue pull from sacrum to the top of the head.
  • With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward the head on either side of the spine.
  • Next, separate hands and pull up again to the top of the head (zone 2)
  • Continue through zones 3, 4 and 5.
  • Massage ears at the end of zone 5 (optional)
2. IMMUNE ENHANCEMENT


Melaleuca Essential Oil

  1. Apply from sacrum to the base of the skull and distribute evenly.
  2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
  3. Tissue pull from sacrum to to of head.
  • With hands together over the spine, start at sacrum ad pull toward the head (zone1)
  • Next separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
  • Ccontinue through zones 3,4 and 5




On Guard Essential Oil Blend

  1. Apply from sacrum to base of the skull and distribute evenly.
  2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
  3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head
    *With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)
    *Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
    *Continue through zones 3, 4 and 5.
  4. Thumb walk tissue pull.
    *Walk up each side of the spine with thumbs firm sacrum to base of skull 3 times.


3. INFLAMMATION AND PAIN REDUCTION


Aromatouch Essential Oil Blend

  1. Apply from scrum to base of skull and distribute evenly.
  2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
  3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head.
    • With hands together over the spine, start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)
    • Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone2)
    • Continue through sones 3,4 and 5



Deep Blue Essential Oil Blend



  1. Apply from sacrum to base of skull and distribute evenly.
  2. Alternating palm slide from spine to sides and work from sacrum to base of skull. Repeat on opposite side.
  3. Tissue pull from sacrum to top of head.
    * With hands together over the spine start at the sacrum and pull toward head (zone 1)

    *Next, separate hands and pull up again to top of head (zone 2)
    *Continue through zones 3,4, and 5.
  4. Thumb walk tissue pull.
    *Walk up each side of the spine with thumbs from sacrum to base of skull 3 times.


4. HOMEOSTASIS


Peppermint Essential Oil


  1. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to bottom of the right foot.
    *Work massage region 1,2 and 3.
    *Work through zones 1 through zone 5 on same foot.
  2. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to bottom of the left foot.
    *Work massage region 1,2 and 3.
    *Work through zones 1 through zone 5 on same foot.



Wild Orange Essential Oil


  1. Apply Wild Orange and Peppermint to the back.
    *Work through all 5 zones, once.
